Paxil – Known for its Effectiveness in Reducing Depression Symptoms

Paxil, which is otherwise known as Paroxetine, belongs in a class of drugs that are known as SSRIs or serotonin reuptake inhibitors. This medication works very well at alleviating the bothersome symptoms that are most commonly associated with various types of depression, OCD or obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder. The way that serotonin reuptake inhibitors work is they cause restoration to the balance of natural chemicals that are located within the brain, such as serotonin. Individuals that take this type of medication have noticed marked improvement in their appetite, moods, level of energy, sleep they receive, and an improvement of their overall well-being. Unwanted urges or persistent thoughts that are troubling and common with OCD are alleviated with Paxil, as well as fears that are unreasonable and anxiety.
