In rare cases the side effects are not only severe, but can be dangerous and medical help should be immediate. These side effects include seizures, tachycardia, abnormal liver function, pancreatitis and stroke.

These side effects should decrease once the body is used to Wellbutrin XL function in the body, however when the side effects are severe the physician should be called immediately and when a patient experiences the rare side effects that can occur they should be taken to the hospital emergency room for treatment. The dosage of Wellbutrin XL should always be followed to limit dangerous side effects.
