How to Take Venafaxine XR

Venlafaxine XR is a medicine which can be used for the treatment for those people who are suffering from depression and social anxiety disorder. Normally Venlafaxine XR can be taken once a day.  The normal dosage of Venlafaxine XR that should be taken is 75 mg each day in most cases, but your doctor or healthcare consultant may feel a higher dosage will perform better, then they can increase the dosage of Velnafaxine XR to 150mg per day. They can increase this dose if your body is able to tolerate this drug and your body is able to adjust with the higher dosage. This dose can be increased by your doctor after four to seven days. Initially, it can be started at 37.5 mg daily and then further it can be increased to 75mg after the gap of four to seven days and then further it can be increased to 150mg per day. Finally, if you are required to treat your depression then you can increase the dose of Venlafaxine XR to 225 mg per day which can be decided by your doctor.
Normally your doctor or healthcare consultant prescribes the dosage of Velnafaxine XR based on different factors like:

• Age of the patient
• On what medical condition, the patient is going to be treated.
• What other medicines patient is taking.
